From Laura Dolson, Your Guide to Low Carb Diets.
As we get further along in the year, how are your resolutions doing? Do you need support? Do you have questions? Be sure to stay in touch with others by visiting our Low Carb Discussion Forum. Also, some people find that social networking such as Facebook and Twitter is helpful. I have pages on both of those sites that you can join for that extra "boost". Also, remember that my home page (reached by simply clicking on "Low Carb Diets" above my picture here) has new recipes and tips highlighted each day. Have a healthy week! Laura

Win Valuable Low-Carb Prizes
Each year, low-carb blogger Amy Dungan presents a guessing game and offers prizes in her Healthy Low-Carb Living Great Start Giveaway. There's no catch - it's just fun!

Laura's Low-Carb Pyramid
It seems that everyone has a pyramid, and this is mine. It's meant to be a helpful visual representation of the approximate amounts of food to eat on a healthy low-carb diet. It's nothing complicated like percentage of calories or even numbers of "servings", it's just the amount of food. I've devised it so that you can click on each type of food and learn how you might figure out how much of that food would be good for you.

What Are Net Carbs?
A carb is a carb is a carb, right? If this is so, then why do some products marketed to low carb eaters have one number on the "Nutrition Facts" panel, and a much lower number labeled "Net Carbs," "Net Atkins Count," or something similar, prominently displayed on the front of the label?
