From Fiona Haynes, Your Guide to Low Fat Cooking.
Football fans across the country are gearing up for the Super Bowl on February 7th. In some cases, it's less about the game and more about the food. Well, it would be in my case, as I still don't quite understand the game. I'm English, so I have an excuse. It looks a bit like rugby to me, only with shoulder pads and helmets. Anyway, this week, I have a delicious potato-topped chicken pot pie recipe, a blueberry scones recipe, an answer to a question about cheese, and some ideas for keeping your Super Bowl feasting in check.

Potato-Topped Chicken Pot Pie
Chicken pot pie is the epitome of comfort food, but hardly of low-fat fare. Here's a neat twist on a comfort-food classic: a potato-topped chicken pot pie that happens to be low fat. This chicken pie is chock-full of white-meat chicken and loaded with good-for-you vegetables. The sauce is creamy but not indulgent.

LowFat, Low-Calorie Blueberry Scones
I used to think nothing of buying an occasional blueberry scone to go with my morning drive-through coffee, until I realized that my morning's indulgence, excluding the coffee, contained more than 450 calories and an unhealthy dose of fat. I also realized that I didn't need to eat a whole wedge, which, truth be told, lay like a stone in my stomach. So here's a much lighter blueberry scone, which is smaller but just as tantalizing.

Yes or No to Cheese?
Surely cheese is off the menu if you're trying to eat low fat. Not necessarily. Cheese is a good source of protein, calcium and phosphorus, but it's also a major source of saturated fat in our diet. What should we do?

Planning a Low-Fat Super Bowl Party
Where I come from, football is played with a round ball, and the only person allowed to handle that ball is the goalkeeper or the referee. Here in the U.S., though, football is the highlight of the sporting calendar, and a great excuse to eat, often to excess. So here are some great ideas for football fare that shouldn't add inches to your waistline.
