I haven't written a lot about saturated fats on my site, because frankly, in my mind, the jury was still a little bit out. Although the safety concerns were seeming more and more specious, people come to my site for health information, and I wanted to very sure before writing anything more definite than "the evidence against saturated fat is getting weaker and weaker". So this is kind of a big day for me. Be sure to check out the latest!

Stop Being Afraid of Saturated Fat
An analysis in the prestigious journal American Journal of Clinical Nutrition looks back over all the studies about saturated fat, which included hundreds of thousands of people. The conclusion: "there is no significant evidence for concluding that dietary saturated fat is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease".
