From Laura Dolson, your Guide to Low Carb Diets
Good news here near the central coast of California - after two years of no salmon fishing, they are allowing limited fishing this year, due to a partial rebound of some salmon species. Also, the wild Alaskan salmon population is carefully managed and remains robust. Salmon is simply one of the best things you can eat, both in terms of flavor and because it's so good for us! Laura

All About Salmon (includes Wild vs Farmed)
When I am making up my low-carb menus, I often have difficulty making them high enough in Vitamin D and calcium. But if I include a serving of canned salmon it's easy! I tell you all about salmon nutrition, the difference between farmed and wild salmon, and more.

Salmon Selection and Cooking
Salmon is so healthy, but how to get started? Here are tips for selecting good salmon, and then cooking and serving it.

Try Salmon Salad Instead of Tuna
Did you know that canned salmon is almost always wild Alaskan salmon? It's tasty, it's more nutritious -- why not try salmon salad for a change? Here's the way I make it.

Oven-Baked Salmon With Herbs
This cooking technique is something of a miracle. The fish bakes at a low heat right on the platter you will serve it on. No pans to wash! And you won't believe how flavorful and moist the fish is. This recipe works will almost any herb or spice combination you like.
