From Shereen Jegtvig, your Guide to Nutrition
This week, we'll talk about how a professor lost weight eating mostly junk food, then we'll switch gears and learn about American Heart Association's Start! Eating Healthy program. I'll also tell you about my conversation with Norma Kamali and I can give you some tips if you're still sleepy after going back to Standard Time.

Have a great week!

Shereen

The Twinkie Diet?
Mark Haub, a nutrition professor at Kansas State University wanted to find out what would happen if he cut calories, but loaded up on the junk food, especially Twinkies.

Start! Eating Healthy Day
The American Heart Association has started a new campaign to encourage good health called Start! Eating Healthy Day on November 3, 2010. The American Heart Association encourages everyone to choose a variety of healthy foods (in the right amounts of course) in order to cut down on heart disease.

Designer Wellness
Normal Kamali is well known as a successful designer - her beautiful clothing and swimsuits have been loved since the 1970s. But these days Ms. Kamali is interested in much more than fashion, she is also concerned with health and wellness.

Back To Standard Time
The annual change from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time brings welcome sunlight into the early morning hours, however it can take a few days to get used to the disruption of your sleeping patterns. Here are some nutritional tips that might help if you haven't adjusted yet.
