From Laura Dolson, your Guide to Low Carb Diets
Could this be the year when low-carb eating edges its way into the mainstream? I've learned not to hold my breath, but there are encouraging signs, including a recent LA Times article where many nutritional experts back away from carbs, and the cover article on the Reader's Digest!! Also, although there truly is no one "best thing" among all the great things about eating low-carb, there is one that pops up again and again, whether cutting carbs for health, weight loss, or blood sugar control. Have a wonderful healthy week! Laura

The Best Thing About Low-Carb Eating
Of course, there are many wonderful things about low-carb eating - weight loss, improved health, great food. But there is one effect that is really prized among low-carb eaters that is often ignored by those on the "outside looking in".
What's your favorite thing about low-carb eating? Add your thoughts to this list!

Experts Admit Carbs Cause Health Problems
It's happening slowly, but it's happening. Nutritional experts are beginning to admit that "mistakes were made" with recommendations to lower fat and raise carbs in the diet.

Reader's Digest Features Low-Carb Article
It's right there on the cover! "Eat This to Lose Weight - The New Science of Dieting". Woohoo!! Some of my favorite things about the article (and one thing I disagree with).

Laura's Low-Carb Food Pyramid
Some people have told me that they have been successful using my pyramid as their main guide for low-carb eating. It is constructed in a way to maximize nutrition while controlling carbs.
