Since I started collecting weight loss success stories, I've gotten something like 40 responses, but the latest one is the most amazing story yet. Algarvi was over 400 pounds and lost an amazing 322 pounds over 4 years. I wanted to highlight her story because, first, it's incredible and, second, it proves that persistence, and slow, steady weight loss, can pay off. It's the "slow" part that's usually the problem, isn't it? Learn more about how she did it.

And, a sentimental moment, if I may. This week is Thanksgiving, of course, and I want to thank all of my readers (even the ones who send me mean emails sometimes) for your support and encouragement. I'm so thankful to have this job and I'm thankful I have so many intelligent, thoughtful and healthy readers to get inspired by and learn from. Thank you!
