Sometimes life hands us what I like to call a turd sandwich...
You do all the right things. You punch the clock, you pay your
taxes, and you help old ladies cross the street. Then "BAAMM!"...
Inspite of all our good deeds we get knocked on our as*.
From our health, our wealth, to our relationships. Rarely is
everything just smooth sailing.
There are bumps, road blocks, and times when we are licking our
wounds just trying to claw our way back up.
It's at times like this I always think back to one of my favorite
movies of all time, "Rocky". Just the sound of the music makes me
want to go jog around the block, and go punch some meat in a
freezer.
What I remember the most is when Rocky had been knocked down over
and over again... and was just about to give up. When a voice rings
in his ear...

As long as you always get back up. You haven't failed.
Of course there are setbacks and missteps, but what made Rocky
different from all other boxers was that he always got back up.
He wasn't necessarily the most talented. He didn't have the best
equipment, have some genetic advantage, or even great boxing skills.
But he ALWAYS got back up.
Even after being beaten down over and over.
That is what made him different.
I truly believe that the difference between those who succeed and
those who fail... is in your willingness to get back up.
Beaten, broken, bloody. It doesn't matter.
If you know that NO MATTER what. I am going to make it happen.
You will.
