Ooops I farted.
Smells like something bad.
I'm so embarrassed.
But that's what happens when you eat Mexican."
I know, this is far from a typical business email. But this darn
ring tone is stuck in my head. My son, Adam, download this silly
ring tone "Ooops I farted".
And has played it over, and over, and over..
The reason I am sharing it with you is because it reminded me of
the most ridiculous iPhone app success that I have ever heard of.
Have you ever heard of iFart?
It's basically a digital whoopee cushion, and it was the #1 iPhone
app back in December 2008, literally overnight. This one simple
"stupid" little idea in the first two days netted the creator an
easy $40,000.
Keep in mind this is a .99 cent app.
And this was two years ago, I am sure this app has earned over a
million dollars since first being added to the App store. And you
thought farts were just a bunch of hot air.
Now the reason I am writing this email is less about the fact that
I ate Chili last night, but more about this incredible opportunity
that is happening all around us.
But it's not just mobile apps, but software in general.
Creating and selling software is still one of the best businesses
on the planet in my humble opinion. But most people think it's just
too complicated to do.
Now this guy named Trey Smith, just released an iPhone app creator.
But before you run off to download it, I'm going to tell straight
up.
It's just a PowerPoint Presentation, not a true app creator.
But I do think it has value.
The biggest secret to creating software is in the planning phase.
Creating a clear blueprint to be followed is what has allowed me, a
programming dunce, to create many best selling applications.

Last year I taught a handful of people how to create their own
software empire, and later this week I am going to show you exactly
how you can work one-on-one with me to do the same.
Be on the look out for my next email. Let me know what you think of
this App creator.
Cheers,
Jared Croslow
p.s. Here is a link to that darn ring tone I can't get out of my
head.
