This is so funny when I think about it. You won't believe
how ornery my kids can be.
So it was last Christmas eve...
My kids and I had laid out the cookies and milk for Santa,
and I had just tucked them all in. (I remember how anxious I
was at that age)
In my house I like to keep the underneath of the tree empty
until Christmas morning so when my kids wake up there are
all these presents that just seemed to appear.
Earlier that day my son Craig was talking about how some
kids in class were saying Santa wasn't real. I told him of
course he is real. Bullocks!
Why stop believing right before Christmas?
So my kids are in bed, and I begin to pull out their gifts
and slowly put them under the tree. My youngest son, Adam,
was getting a Go-Kart that I basically had to wrap in place.
I was probably wrapping, moving, and fixing presents for
about an hour when all of a sudden I noticed something
sticking out of the sofa.
As I get closer I quickly realize my son Craig has put his
iPod Nano in the sofa cushion, and set it to record.
I figured there was no way he got any good video footage.
Would you believe it was me perfectly in screen wrapping,
and putting gifts under the tree.
A whole hour of footage of undeniable proof that Santa
wasn't real.
So what did I do?
I saved the video, and wiped the iPod clean.
Next morning I said "Son, Santa had a talk with me about
you recording him."
I am sure this video will be great for them when they are
older.
Did you know that most kids stop believing in Santa when
they are 7 3/4. But some, about 50% believe until they are
11. Which is how old Craig is this year.
I just put up an updated version to the Christmas
Info-graphic I released last week. You don't want to miss
this one.
Check it out here.
