Bad news. (I can't believe it!)

I botched this one bad. Have you ever worked so hard to have
everything happen just perfect, and then you forget one little
thing?

Well that happened to me this Sunday...

We had a great webinar, filled the house, with tons of great
feedback.

But two things happened.

1) I forgot to change the settings on Screenflow to record my
mic... uhg!

2) A lot of people had trouble getting on the call, because we
were all out of seats.

So unfortunately there is no replay of Sunday's call, but I will be
doing an encore presentation this Thursday to make up for my screw
up.

So here's the deal... we're going to try this again!

Make sure you mark your calendar.

From Paige Waehner, your Guide to Exercise

While I love to expound on the many benefits of exercise, it isn't always happiness and light. In fact, there's a near 100% chance that, if you workout, you'll eventually experience some muscle soreness. Too much soreness can be debilitating, but a little bit should be expected and is sort of like your body's way of saying (or shouting), "Here I am!" There you are, indeed.

Vote: How do you handle muscle soreness?
The first time I lifted weights, I couldn't brush my hair the next day. In fact, I couldn't brush my teeth, bend over to tie my shoes or sit in a chair. Even holding a pen was agony and...Read more

From Laura Dolson, your Guide to Low Carb Diets
We're come to an interesting point in regards to diet advice in the U.S.: the government is still saying "eat lots of carbs" while others have caught onto the fact that this advice has not done good things for us. This has left some in a sort of "deer in the headlight" pose. A recent article in Consumer Reports illustrates this perfectly.

Consumer Reports has Mixed Messages About Low-Carb Diets
Why would Consumer Reports give the Atkins Diet their lowest rating, and then go on to talk about the great things about low-carb eating? To me this is a great picture of where we are vis a vis low-carb eating: in a quandary.

Low-Carb Substitutes for High-Carb Foods
What do you miss? Bread? Crackers? Desserts? Rather than cave in and eat some, discover some low-carb substitutes.

What is the Glycemic Load?
In a general sense, all low-carbers are trying to lower the glycemic loads of our diets. Some have tried to quantify it, and here's a little bit about it, with the glycemic load numbers of some foods.

Have a healthy and happy week! -Elizabeth

Stress Management: Just What The Doctor Ordered!
The recent study showing the increased popularity of stress relief techniques is good news. While meditation may not be as oft-recommended as medication, this study shows that the techniques you've been reading about here are catching on, and their benefits are becoming more commonly known. Learn more about what techniques are most-recommended, and find resources to easily incorporate the most effective stress relievers into your daily life.

You may already know quite a bit about the effects of stress and stress reduction techniques on overall health, especially if you've been reading the newsletter, visiting the site, or signed up for the Facebook or Twitter feeds. Now, I challenge you to test your knowledge! If you already know everything that's on this quiz, good for you!! And if there's anything you didn't already know, you'll find new information and further resources for stress reduction changes you can make in your life.

Not Ready For The Weekend To Be Over?
I believe that my Monday newsletters are the most widely-read for a reason: going back to work after a weekend of fun reminds people of the stress they face during the week. If you're wishing it were still the weekend, or that the weekends always had an extra day to them, here are some more ways you can incorporate fun into your daily life. In addition to these ideas, you may want to get a daily dose of stress relief via Facebook. Just visit the About Stress Management Facebook Page and click "like," and you'll get a steady (but relaxed) stream of stress relief information sprinkled onto your Wall.
