| | Here's why it's so hard to exercise this time of year: You wake up, it's dark. It's cold. Your bed is warm and you want to stay there. If you do snooze, promising yourself you'll exercise later, you'll realize something else: It's also dark and cold on the way home from work. Your house is warm and has good things like food and beer and TV and bathtubs, unlike the big, stinky gym which only has big steel machines that glare at you as soon as you walk in. It's hard to get past these issues, but there is good news: A little bit of exercise goes a long way and the most important benefit is that even just a few minutes can lift your mood.
